Sharing is Caring

Manchester United won’t be making use of the government’s furlough scheme and will continue paying all employees as normal.

Manchester United Chief Executive Ed Woodward emailed staff on Monday outlining the club’s commitment to continue paying staff despite football shutdown. United has 900 full-time staff.

The club also said it will ‘continue to make goodwill payments already committed to matchday casual workers for the remainder of this Premier League season’ and would be considering how to further support this group – which includes around 3,000 persons.

The Red Devils are also encouraging those who are unable to work or with reduced workload to volunteer time to help the NHS or the local communities during the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
