PROF. GEORGE MAGOHA ANNOUNCES HIS EXIT FROM KNEC

During the release of 2018 KCSE examination results, Professor George Magoha, the KNEC Chair announced his exit and gave great advice for management of examinations in Kenya.

Professor George Magoha asked the President Uhuru Kenyatta to give special consideration of Starehe Boys Center which is a school for the poor.

Professor George Magoha has been to universities and has trained many surgeons in Kenya but “..everything that has been driving me is the training that I got at Starehe Boys Center and so please leave Starehe alone. If there are thieves there, arrest them and take them to court.”

George Magoha has served as the Chairman of the board at Kenya National Examinations Council for the last three years and his time has expired.

Right from the beginning, George Magoha sat with Cabinet Secretaries for ICT and Interior and agreed that management examinations in Kenya needed a multi-sectoral approach. He has been a university teacher for 41 years.

This is the approach which introduced the container system in delivering examinations to all examination centers across the nation.
