Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has confirmed that he has terminated his two-year loan deal at Turkish club Besiktas.

The 26-year-old made 30 appearances for the club before the campaign was stopped due to the global coronavirus pandemic.

The German posted on Instagram it was a “shame it comes to an end like this.’’

‘’I was very patient for months telling the board over and over again. Same things happened already last year.’’ He added.

Karius reported Besiktas to FIFA last month for unpaid wages for a second time, although a deal between the two parties was close to being agreed without FIFA’s intervention.

The deal involved the cancellation of Karius’ contract, with the Turkish side paying him £400,000 in outstanding salary.

Karius said Besiktas had refused his suggestion of helping the club by taking a pay cut.

Karius thanked Besiktas fans for their support.

‘’It is important to me that you know I really enjoyed playing for this club a lot. Besiktas can be proud having such passionate fans behind them always giving amazing support.
