The President of Liberia, George Weah, has concede defeat to the opposition leader Joseph Boakai in the recent elections.

 

Boakai received 50.89 percent of the ballots cast as reported by the elections commission.

 

George Weah was the first African soccer star to win  World Player of the Year (FIFA) and Ballon d’Or.

 

As he leaves office, he is accused of corruption and his failure to keep elections promises.

 

US government has already conglaturated the president-elect Boakai on his victory.
