Due to Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, the government of Kenya has once again extended the deadline for the migration to ePassport.
The new deadline announced by the Interior Cabinet Secretary is 31st December, 2021. 1st March 2021 was the old deadline.
Starting 1 January, 2022 the old dark blue passports will be null and void. You won’t be able to travel on one.
To reduce congestion at the immigration offices, the Government of Kenya open 10 new centers in Kenya and 6 others in the diaspora including in Washington DC, Johannesburg, Dubai, London, Berlin, London and Paris.
