The air-conditioned helmets are designed to create a cooling effect for the traffic police due to the temperatures which are over 40 degrees Celsius.

The helmets are fitted with visors which shield the eyes of the wearer from direct sunlight.


Before the introduction of the helmets, traffic police were fainting on the road due to extreme heat.


The helmets are powered using batteries which is fitted at the waist and can last for 8 hours when fully charged.


India is facing extreme heat between April and June.
