I’m at CoP28 event in Dubai, it is happening at Expo City 2020. This venue was an expo in 2020 and now it is hosting the 28th Conference of Parties aka CoP28.
Many governments have been accused of sending large delegations of government officials to the CoP28 in Dubai, UAE.
Brazil and Nigeria and have been focal in condemning the large delegations to Dubai. A total of 1,411 delegates are in Dubai funded by Nigerian taxpayers to engage in climate change negotiations.
“How can a country that is borrowing money to pay workers’ wages, a country plagued by insecurity, battered by power collapse where investors are exiting the country by the day fritter away such a humongous amount of resources on a jamboree?”Julius Abure said.
