As I write this article, many students around the world are doing their studies from home and many parents are discovering that public schooling is not important after all.
However, lower income households have been left out of the equation because they do not have access to internet or the necessary equipment beyond their smartphones.
This is why pundits are pointing out that post-Covid19, some middle class parents will consider home schooling for their children.
These are parents who have the infrastructure to offer proper home schooling. They will conclude that they do not need schools after all for their children.
If it is true that Covid-19 may stay with us for longer, then online schooling will play a long-term roles in our lives.
