Imran Khan, former Prime Minister, was handed a 3-year sentence for misappropriation of state gifts.
He was quickly arrested after the sentencing. He was taken to prison in Lahore where he is a resident.
April 2022, Imran Khan, was removed from office in a no-confidence vote. The gifts in which he was involved were valued at approximately $500,000.
