According to the recently declassified documents, the former Mexican President Jose Lopez Portillo was a CIA informant.
He served as president of Mexico from 1976 to 1982. He died in 2004 aged 83.
Lopez Portillo was the fourth former Mexican President to be listed as a US intelligence asset.
Luis Echeverria, Gustavo Diaz Ordaz and Adolfo Lopez Mateos were also US Intelligence assets.
