t is with heavy hearts and profound acceptance of God’s divine plan that we announce the unexpected passing of Dr. Nyagwoko Keriga on the 17 of November, 2023.

 

Dr. Nyagwoko was born to the late Keriga and the late Mama Bisase of Miriri, Nyamira County.

 

He leaves behind a legacy that touched the lives of many. He had practiced medicine for 46 years.

 

Dr. Nyagwoko was the beloved husband of Theresa Bosibori Nyagwoko, and their union was blessed with four children: Dr. Bisase Moraa, Eng. Keriga Manwa, Dr. Kemunto Misega, and the late Kerubo Mongina. He was father-in-law to Ben, Annette and Charles. He was also blessed with grandchildren: Bradley, Becky, Braham, Yuri, Ivan, Ethan, Levi, and Tessa.

 

In the tapestry of his life, Dr. Nyagwoko was a cherished brother to Peris Nyabate and was preceded in death by siblings: the late Ogechi, the late Atambo, the late Onwonga, and the late Ndondi.

 

He was a cherished nephew to the late Omwange, the late Misega, the late Ochego, and the late Obonyo. Additionally, he was a beloved cousin to Nemwel Ochego, Daniel Ochego, Mokone, Charles Mokaya, the late Samwel Ngoko, Orucho, the late Charles Ongau, Patroba, Jomo, the late Antony Keriga, the late Ochieng, Tom Omwange, among others.

 

Dr. Nyagwoko’s extended family, in-laws, and relatives mourn his passing deeply.

He was an uncle figure to many, including Ongau’s (the late Rebecca, John, Mary, Joel, among others), Ogechi’s (Bisase, Atambo, and others), Ndondi’s (Bisase, Sarah, and others), Onwonga’s (Bisase, Alex, among others), Peter & Aloys Isanda, Hon. Shadrack Mose, Solicitor General, Gitira Mose, Nyangoka’s (James, Samwel, Mary) among others.

 

He also played the role of Korera to William & Prisca Moreka, Andrew & Askah Obaga, and Christopher & Ruth Ayienda.

 

A church service to honor his life will be held at Newlife SDA Church, Nairobi on Wednesday, 20th November 2023 at 2:00 pm.

 

The cortege will depart from Umash Funeral Home on Thursday Morning, 23rd November 2023, for another service at Kisii Central S.D.A Church on the same day at 2:00 pm.

 

The funeral service and final resting place are scheduled for Friday, 24th November 2023, at Itierio Primary School, and his home in Mashambani, Kisii County, respectively.

 

Dr. Nyagwoko lived a life guided by faith, leaving an indelible mark on those he encountered.

 

He found solace in the words of 2nd Timothy 2:15.“‘Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
