DP William Ruto to graduate with a PhD in Plant Ecology

Tomorrow, Deputy President William Ruto will be graduating with a doctorate degree in Plant Ecology from University of Nairobi.

William Ruto is reported to have been pursuing the doctorate degree since 2012.

Ruto’s PhD Thesis was titled: “Influence of human activities on land use changes on environmental quality of riparian ecosystems: A case study of Saiwa Swamp watershed, Western Kenya’ in September 2018.” 

William Ruto has the following academic qualifications:

  • Masters in Plant Ecology – UON 2011
  • Bachelors degree in Zoology and Botany – UON 1990
  • Wareng Secondary School – O’levels
  • Kerotet Primary School

Statistics shows that Kenya has not more than 10,000 PhD holders. This means William Ruto enters a unique class of Kenyans.
