A section of Kenyan fans have welcomed the appointment of Jose Mourinho as Tottenham Hotspurs manager until the end of 2022/2023 football season.

The announcement came just after Argentinean tactician Mauricio Pochettinho was sacked by the club following a series of poor results.

Jose Mourinho has been out of football management in 2018 when he was sacked by Manchester United.

Kenyans have welcomed his appointment hoping that he will give Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama more playing time, something he has been lacking this season under Pochettinho.

Victor Wanyama has been on the bench since returning from injury and sometimes he did not even make it to the match day squads. Jose Mourinho previously coached Wanyama’s elder brother MacDonald Mariga at Inter Milan and Kenyans are hoping their captain could have more playing time under the Portuguese tactician.
