South Africa’s Air Force headquarters in Pretoria has been temporarily closed after two people tested positive for Covid-19, the BBC reports.

The military said in a statement that the building was evacuated as a precautionary measure and will be closed for two days for ‘’deep cleaning’’.

The two people who tested positive have been placed in quarantine.

The military further advised all those who had come into contact with the infected people to get tested for the deadly virus.

South Africa is the leading country in the African continent with confirmed coronavirus cases.

President Cyril Ramaphosa urged South Africans not to be scared by the rising coronavirus cases after the country recorded more than half of the current total number of cases in the last two weeks.
