Crystal Palace have confirmed that James Tomkins and Christian Benteke have extended their stay at the London based club.

Tomkins and Benteke renew deals at Palace

Christian Benteke’s contract was to end at the end of the current campaign and the Belgian forward has extended his stay at the Selhurst Park by 12 months.

Defender James Tomkins has also signed a new deal at the club to keep him until the end of 2021-2022 season. He has however not played since April due to a groin injury. He has only managed 87 appearances since he joined the club in 2016.

Crystal Palace confirmed that the two have signed new deals in their official club website.

Palace’s Chairman Steve Parish added: ‘’I am pleased that agreements have been reached with two important senior players. Both James and Christian bring vast Premier League experience, commitment and professionalism to the squad. These new deals show that we recognize their levels of performance in recent seasons, and that we believe in both players, and that they are hugely motivated by the direction that the club is heading.”
