Carl Jenkinson has joined Nottingham Forest FC from Arsenal. He has joined the Championship side on a three year deal at an undisclosed fee.

The 27 year old English defender wants to help Nottingham Forest to gain promotion to the Premier League.

Injuries limited Jenkinson’s to 70 appearances for Arsenal since he joined the club in June 2011 from Charlton Athletic. He scored one goal for the Gunners over the period.

While at Arsenal, Carl Jenkinson spent loan spells at West Ham and Birmingham city.

During his last season at Arsenal, Carl Jenkinson made 8 appearances for the club both in the Premier League and in the Europa League.

The Reds decided to make a move for Carl Jenkinson after reports that Tendayi Darikwa had been sidelined due to injury.

Jenkinson becomes the 8th player to be signed by Nottingham Forest as the club eyes promotion to the Premier League.         `
