Chandru Raheja has a net worth of $6.1 billion. He is the youngest of four siblings of a property family. He ventured out on his own in 1996.

 

He owns K. Raheja Corp which is in private hands. He is one of the leading developers in Mumbai, India. The group is managed by his sons Ravi and Neel.

 

Raheja Corp is well known for their Shoppers Stop, IT Parks, Orbit Malls, Hypercity, serviced offices, hotels and chain department stores. He owns J.W. Marriott in Mumbai and Westin.

 

During his career, Raheja  has constructed numerous homes, offices, hotels and IT parks. In 2005 he purchased land in Hyderabad, it was filled with boulders. Now it is the site of office spaces for Google, Tech Mahindra, Microsoft and TCS.

 

Raheja is the founder of S.L. Raheja Hospital and Diabetic Research Center, The Bombay Scottish School, S.L. Raheja College of Arts and Architecture and S.L. Raheja Technical School.

 

In 2020, Raheja listed part of his commercial properties which is co-owned by Blackstone which is a private equity firm.

 

Raheja is married to Jyoti C. Raheja.
