The Institute of Strategic Studies has released this map showing democracy, active conflicts, autocratic governments around Africa.
I was surprised that some countries considered to have dictators in powers are not ranked as autocratic. Instead they are semi-authoritarian. It may be because they subject their citizens to some mock elections every so often.
