Sharing is Caring

Alex Iwobi has joined Everton FC on a permanent deal. He has penned a five year deal with the Merseyside club. Arsenal agreed a fee of £34M with Everton yesterday. This comes after Everton decided against meeting Crystal Palace’s valuation of £100M for Wilfried Zaha.

The Nigeria international becomes the seventh player to be signed by Everton FC ahead of the start of the Premier League. Iwobi can play both as a winger and an attacking midfielder.

Everton manager Marco Silva wanted to add pace to his squad and he opted for Alex Iwobi.

‘’Alex was one of our main targets for this window and I believe he is a fantastic signing for Everton. He is a direct and skillful winger and attacking midfielder who always works very hard for his team.’’ Said Everton boss Marco Silva.

Alex Iwobi now begins a new chapter in his career at Everton as the club targets to improve after last season’s eighth-place finish.

Alex Iwobi came through the youth ranks of Arsenal before signing a long term contract with the club in October 2015.

With the summer arrival of Nicolas Pepe it seems Alex Iwobi has been deemed surplus requirements at the Emirates prompting his move.
