Professor Richard Baldwin is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Vox and President of Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). He also serves as a professor of International Economics at Graduate Institute based in Geneva.

Richard Baldwin moved to Europe in 1991 and since then he has served the continent in various capacities. In  2007, he founded VoxEU.org which he now serves as an Editor-in-Chief.

 

Baldwin started serving as Chairman for CEPR in 2016. Between 2012 – 2015, he served as a visiting research professor at the University of Oxford. He served as a visiting Professor at MIT between 2002 and 2003.

 

For 5 years between 2000 and 2005, he worked as Managing Editor of Economic Policy. He earned his PhD in Economics from MIT under the supervision of Paul Krugman; MSc at London School of Economics  in 1980/1981. Between 1976 to 1980, he was an undergraduate student at UW-Madison University.

 

His research interests are on: international trade, European Integration, World Trade Organization, global value chains and regionalism.
