A story published on the Mirror highlights the story of a family in rural Britain whose only bill is their monthly council tax.
Barry Maurice and Katus Young with their children Malinki and Madog live in a cabin and gypsy wagon. Katus works as a folk singer and that suppliments their income.
The family owns Gypsy wagons which they lease out to tourists in the area. Their home is a wooden cabin, for power they depend on solar panels and for water they harvest rain water which is filtered and hence suitable for home use.

The family do not own or watch Television and they do not own game consoles. Those are the luxuries they have decided to forgo.
