Zindzi Mandela, the eldest daughter of Nelson Mandela and Winnie Mandela has passed away at the age of 59.
According to the SABC, Zindzi died at a hospital in Johannesburg on Monday morning.
“The 59-year-old daughter of former president Nelson Mandela and struggle stalwart Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, passed away at a Johannesburg hospital in the early hours of this morning,” said SABC.
Her death was also confirmed by the Nelson Mandela foundation.
She was the South African ambassador to Denmark at the time of her death.
Zindzi Mandela is survived by her husband and four children.
