Sharing is Caring

Three women in Emurua Dikirr constituency, Narok County, who allegedly bought 16 Identification Cards (IDs) have been arrested.

According to Narok County Commissioner Isaac Masinde, the three have been aligned to court for judgement.

Masinde noted that his officers are keen, alert and ready to respond to matters concerning the safety of residents in the county. This comes after Narok was among the counties that are hotspots in the coming elections.

The habit of people buying registered IDs was warned by the independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) ahead of the upcoming general elections.

“It has come to our attention that there are some people who are going around in a few areas buying IDs from voters,” Chebukati, the IEBC chairman said.

Chebukati also added that the commission is working in line with the police to ensure that there are no irregularities in the elections that will be held in 9th August.
