In most cases count and national government share information in their websites in the pdf format. This is not in compliance with open contracting Data Standards (OCDS).

There are proposed formats which are compliant such as:

  • Spreadsheets
  • XML
  • JSON and
  • Comma Separated Values (CSV)

Open data is defined as “data made available by governments, business and individiduals for anyone to access, use and share.”

Public data should always be accessible and renewable. Let’s always call upon governments to share data in spreadsheets and not pdf. As you may be aware
