Wazito FC duo out of Kenyan Premier League opener

Newly promoted Wazito FC will start their Kenyan Premier League campaign without their two players who are injured.

Wazito FC will face Nzoia Sugar FC today at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos as from 1PM without the services of goalkeeper Steven Njunge and midfielder Teddy Osok.

Midfielder Teddy Osok has a back problem and goalkeeper Njunge has a strain. According to the Wazito FC physio Noel Mandi, the two require a week in order to recover.

This comes after the club confirmed the signing of Ugandan Mathew Tayo Odongo from Uganda Revenue Authority. Tayo previously played for Kenya Premier League Clubs Tusker FC and Kariobangi Sharks. He has been training with the team and played and scored in a pre-season friendly match against KCB.
