Villarreal have confirmed that Santi Cazorla will leave the club after Sunday’s La Liga clash with Eibar.

Cazorla, 35, has made a big impact in his third spell with Villarreal since returning to the club in 2018 after a serious Achilles injury.

He has scored 11 goals and provided 9 assists in the La Liga this season.

Cazorla will play his last game for the club on Sunday when Villarreal face Eibar.

He has been linked with a move to Qatari club Al Sadd – coached by Barcelona legend Xavi.

There are reports that Cazorla could take up a coaching role at his former side Arsenal.

‘’Villarreal gave me everything. When I was 18, they gave me all the confidence,’’ Cazorla told Villarreal TV.

‘’A guy from Oviedo who was unknown almost for everyone.’’

Villarreal have also confirmed that Captain Bruno Soriano, 36, will retire after the final game on Sunday at El Madrigal.
