Recently, the federal government of Ethiopia declared a state of emergency.
Now the United Kingdom Embassy in Ethiopia has issued a travel advisory for British Citizens indicating that it may be more difficult to secure flights.
Now British citizens have been advised not to travel even to Addis Ababa.

“It may become more difficult to secure flights later. We have been advising against all travel to all parts of Amhara, Tigray and Afar and to certain other areas. We are now advising against all but essential travel to the rest of Ethiopia including Addis Ababa,” the video stated.
