All South Korean men must complete military service at 28.
Son was given permission to return to his homeland by Spurs last month as he recovers from a fractured arm. He underwent surgery in February after suffering a fractured arm in Tottenham’s 3-2 win over Aston Villa.
Son will have to remain in quarantine for the next two weeks after flying home from London as a preventive measure against the spread of Coronavirus. He’ll begin the military service later this month.
