Top Criminal in France escapes Prison, Redoine Faid

This is the second time in five years that the top criminal, Redoine Faid, is escaping from prison. This news was broken by the prison authorities in France.

Redoine is a French-Algerian by citizenship and he is infamous in France. The latest prison-break was made at around 11:30 am on a Sunday.

Redoine was assisted by three other gangsters (accomplishes) who made the helicopter available for the escape from the courtyard of Reau Prison.

According to Le Monde newspaper, the operation was very brief taking just a few minutes to execute.

Later the local police discovered the burnt-out remains of the helicopter in north of Paris in an area called Gonesse.

At one time Redoine was the most wanted criminal in France. He made is previous prison escape in 2013. At that time, he used explosives which were concealed in a tissue paper roll. He blasted several gates to get out of the prison.

His freedom away from prison was short-lived because he was arrested after six weeks in a luxurious hotel in Paris, France.

Redoine had been prisoned for robbery with violence back in 2010. As a result he was awarded a 25-year sentence for his criminal offences. He was paroled from prison after spending 10 years there. He had conducted several robberies in France.
