The village you see in this photo on the floor of the Rift Valley is called ESCARPMENT. This might be one of the most photographed villages in Kenya (my own opinion through). I say this because many travelers along this highway make a stop to click a photo or two. It provides panoramic vista for them. These kind of photos are memorable to say the least. People who use the other escarpment road from Rironi to Mai Mau will find this road as the best alternative. I hope it will not be used by trucks. If that becomes the case, then the road will be the best alternative for people traveling from Nairobi to Narok, Bomet, Kaplong, Sotik, Keroka, Kisii and even to Luo Nyanza counties of Migori and Homa Bay.
