Serie A teams will be allowed to resume group training as from Monday, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has announced.

The clubs have been carrying out individual training sessions since the start of May.

As part of further easing lockdown measures, teams have now been given green light to resume team training.

‘’Team training will resume on Monday 18th, including football,’’ Conte said as part of his address on Saturday.

No date has been set for the restart date for the Serie A campaign but its a boost for clubs who voted in favour of June 13.

During a league assembly on Wednesday, 16 clubs voted for June 13th as potential date while 4 clubs voted for June 20th.

Juventus sit on top of the Serie A table, one point ahead of second-placed Lazio.
