Ever Wondered about Security of Your Routers?

A router is defined as a networking device that is used for sending data between computer networks and directing traffic on the internet. Experts have warned that  the router is one of the most insecure devices in our homes.

It looks humble but very vulnerable. Most of us never think that routers can be a target for cyber attacks. Instead, we spend a lot of our time thinking about online security for our laptops and phones. We have created strong passwords, implemented a two-factor authentication and encrypted our devices.

Comparatively little attention has been paid to internet router safety. This tiny box has been identified as one of the most valuable technology devices in our homes. This is the marvel that enables all your other devices to connect to the web.

The problem is that most routers are ignored and very rarely monitored and above all their system is never updated. This is why they have become the new frontiers or targets of attack from hackers.
