Saleh Wanjala, popularly known as Bungoma’s James Bond has died.

He passed away on Monday, September 28 at a county hospital after a short illness.

A family member confirmed the news, saying the deceased died shortly after being admitted at the Bungoma County Referral Hospital.

Wanjala became popular when he hung on a chopper that was ferrying the body of renowned businessman Jacob Juma from Kanduyi airstrip to his rural home in Bumula four years ago.

He hung on the chopper for 2km like famous British actor James Bond.

Wanjala was later arrested and arraigned in court before being released.
