Gina Rinehart is the Executive Chairman of Hancock Prospecting. She is the daughter of iron  ore explorer Lang Hancock. 

She has served as the executive chairperson since 1992. Gina is also the second largest cattle producer in Australia. At one point she owned 108,000 heads of cattle. 

Gina Rinehart is the largest landholder in Australia. She owns 9.2 million hectares. She controls the land through three companies: Hancock Prospecting, Australian Outback Beef and S. Kidman & Co. 

 

Hancock Prospecting  generated $10.4 billion in revenue from mining activities and just $140 million from agriculture.
