The former Cabinet Minister and long serving public servant died on February 1, 2021 at the age of 88 years. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

He served as a Provincial Commissioner and Chief Secretary during Mzee Jomo Kenyatta’s regime.
Many of his critics dismissed him as being arrogant and dictatorial.
