Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that three players tested positive for coronavirus ahead of their Ligue 1 action next week.

PSG are due to begin their title defence at Lens on September 10, with that fixture pushed back at the club’s request.

A statement published on the club’s website read: ‘’Three Paris Saint-Germain players have confirmed positive Sars CoV2 tests and our subject to the appropriate health protocol. 

‘’All of the players and coaching staff will continue to undergo tests in the coming days.’’

Thomas Tuchel’s side were crowned Ligue 1 champions in April on points-per-game basis following the coronavirus pandemic.

They went on to win Cope de la Ligue and Coupe de France but lost to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.
