NASA Coalition in Machakos Unveiled their “President”
I’ve been asked by a couple of people what Baba (Raila Odinga) said. Here is a summary of what was said today at a Press Conference held in Machakos County:
a) NASA does not recognize the 26th elections and to declare that according to Article 1 of the Constitution of Kenya the coalition has not delegated their sovereignty to Uhuru Kenyatta.
b) NASA called upon their members of parliament not to participate in vetting of candidates for Uhuru’s cabinet as well as other appointments.
c) Urged Kenyans to “ignore the coronation of Uhuru Kenyatta and instead join the coalition at Jacaranda grounds Nairobi or in spirit
d) Assert article 1 of the Constitution to exercise sovereignty at the County level and to hold the inaugural convention of the People’s Assembly in the Month of December, 2017.
e) “To assert that that we recognize Raila Amolo Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as the legitimate president and deputy president of the republic of Kenya respectively and the sovereign people to get committed to see that they assume office.”
