Sharing is Caring

Traveling from Nairobi to Chile is a 38 hour experience. The Emirates Airlines flies from JKIA to Dubai- Rio de Janairo – Buenos Aires and the to Santiago City.

I learnt that those who have USA visa, can have direct flights from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to John F Kennedy International Airport in New York on board of Kenya Airways – The Pride of Africa. Then connect via Latam Airlines to Santiago.

When I arrived at Rio de Janeiro, we were instructed by the flight crew to remain on board the  Emirates flight from Dubai. After an hour the flight departed for Buenos Aires (Argentina).

Upon arrival at Buenos Aires, I had a layoff of 8 hours which I spent at the airport boarding gates with a security personnel specifically assigned to me by the immigration.

Since I had a security personnel watching over me, I slept soundly on the reclining seats knowing that someone was in charge of my security. I woke up at 4:30 am to go and check my passport and boarding pass with the immigration.

From Buenos Aires to Santiago we switched to Latam Airlines. This is the largest airline in South America. The company operates 301 aircraft of different sizes and capacities for haulage of cargo and passengers.
