Manchester City have beaten Watford FC 8-0 in a Premier League match that was played at the Etihad Stadium today Evening. This comes a week after the defending Champions lost their first game of the season at Norwich City. City Scored 5 goals in 18 minutes in the first half.

David Silva opened the scoring in the first minute of the game. Manchester City were awarded a penalty in the 7th minute and Sergio Kun Aguero converted it from the spot. Riyad Mahrez, Bernado Silva and Nicolas Otamendi scored in the 12th, 15th and 18th minutes respectively. The game headed into halftime with Manchester City 5-0 up.

Bernado Silva added the sixth and seventh goals for Manchester City in the 49th and 60th minute respectively before Kevin De Bruyne wrapped up the victory by scoring the eighth goal in the 85th minute.

Manchester City dominated the game with an average ball possession of 69% compared to Watford’s 31. The Citizens also managed a total of 12 shots compared to Watford’s 4.

The win places Manchester City 2nd in the Premier League Table with 13 points. Liverpool are on top with 15 points. Watford remain at the bottom of the Premier League table with 2 points. They haven’t won a game this season but have drawn twice.

The today’s match was the Second game for newly appointed Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores. He drew his first game in charge of Watford against Arsenal.

Watford have lost their past 12 competitive games against Manchester City – their longest losing run against a single opponent.
