In the past couple of weeks, Mariah Carey has topped the charts for her song “All I want For Christmas is You.” This is not the first time her songs have gotten to the top of charts. She has had a no. 1 song in 4 different decades.

 

Mariah Carey is now 49 years old had a number one song in 1990s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s. Her songs has been ranked at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 list.

Since her most recent hit song is expected to remain at the top of the list well into the first week of 2020, she has set a history.

The first time Mariah Carey released a Christmas hit was in 1994. This was featured on her album Merry Christmas. This year, she released the hit song with an updated video. This officially marked its 25th anniversary.

This officially marks the longest time a song has climbed to the top of the chart’s history. The Billboard has reported that Mariah Carey’s song broke the holiday streaming records.

 

Now Mariah Carey is a head of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson, Elton John, Madonna, Usher, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears who had made the feat in three decades.

 

Mariah Carey has achieved 19 no. 1 hits for the duration of her singing career. Her first hit was achieved on August 1990 with her hit Vision of Love. In total Carey has had three songs remain at the top of the list for three or more weeks. This is a record to behold considering that it is better than that of Rihanna and the Beatles.
