Paris St Germain have confirmed that Midfielder Marco Verratti has signed a new 5 Year deal with the French Ligue One Champions.

Verratti joined Paris St Germain from Italian Club Pescara in 2012.

The 26 year-Old’s performances have at one time led to him attracting interest from Laliga giants Barcelona. 

‘’I think I am coming to the most important moment of my career. I think at 27, you know a lot more things, you have more experience and I think it’s the age to do things right. That’s why I’m really happy to be able to continue here in Paris. As I said from the first day, I feel really good here. I feel like I play in a team that has a very big project. ‘’ Said Verratti.

Marco Verratti also praised Coach Thomas Tuchel and explained his desire to win more games.

‘’For me, the main thing is that I want to win as much as possible, and here we have this opportunity because we have a great team and a great coach. We can do great things together. I am someone who gets attached very quickly. I think PSG has given me a lot. I live the dream I had as a child, the one to play big matches with big players, against big opponents.

Out of 11 Ligue One matches that PSG have played this season, Marco Verratti has started 8. Marco Verratti is a key player in Thomas Tuchel’s squad and will play a huge part as PSG try to win their 7th Ligue One title in their past 8 seasons.
