Mammito is the most followed female comedian in Africa after reaching 1 Million followers on Instagram.
Her rib cracking comedy around Africa has attracted the huge following on social media.
Mammito, whose real name is Eunice Wanjiru Njoki has thanked everyone for being part of her journey.
“Special thanks to everyone for being part of this journey. Who would have thought that on this day a girl born and raised in Kibera, Kenya, would be the most followed female stand-up comedian in Africa? Not even me. This is a great inspiration to all the girls determined to make a difference in this continent. We can do it, if we can think about it, we can have it,” she posted.
Other top female comedians in Africa trail Mammito by a significant margin.
Teacher Wanjiku has 897,000 followers while Anne Kansiime from Uganda boasts of 579,000 followers.
Celeste Ntuli from South Africa has 552,000 followers and Immanuela from Nigeria has 474,000 followers.
Mammito’s career rose ever since she joined the Churchill show. In November 2017, she performed at the Kigali International Comedy Festival. A year later, she performed at the Seka Festival Season 4 in Kigali, Rwanda and also at the East Africa Comedy Show at Kenyatta International Conference Centre, Nairobi.
