Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has won the Bundesliga’s Player of the Season award.

The 31-year-old beat Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho and Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz to the award, after fans and experts voted.

Timo Werner, Amine Harit, Erling Haaland and Serge Gnabry were also running for the prize, for which Lewandowski garnered 50 percent of the total votes.

The Poland international has scored 33 goals in the League this season and is set to be named the Bundesliga’s top scorer for the fourth time in 5 seasons.

He became the first player to score in 11 consecutive Bundesliga games earlier this season.

Bayern Munich have already won the Bundesliga title. They are in the Champions League last 16 and are hoping to beat Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB-Pokal Cup final next month.
