Paris Saint-Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa has signed a new contract at the club that runs until 2024.

Kurzawa’s previous contract was to expire at the end of June and the full-back was linked with moves to Premier League clubs.

The 27-year-old has made 123 appearances for PSG, scoring 13 goals. He has also been capped 13 times by France.

PSG head coach Thomas Tuchel has played Juan Bernat at the left back position more frequently in the 2019-20 campaign. Earlier this year, he said that PSG needed to keep Kurzawa too.

Ligue 1 season was ended prematurely in April and PSG were awarded the title on points-per-game basis.

PSG have returned to training as they prepare to play Copa de France and Copa de la Ligue finals in July 24 and 31 respectively. They will play Saint Etienne in the former and Lyon in the latter.

PSG are also in the Champions League quarter-finals. The tournament will resume in August in Lisbon, Portugal.
