Sharing is Caring

The 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exams kicked off on Monday with 699,745 candidates writing their exams.

The KCSE exams will be tightly monitored to avoid exam malpractices just like was the case with KCPE exams which ended on Thursday last week.

The KCSE candidates started with English Functional Skills at 8AM before writing English Comprehension, literary appreciation and Grammar at midday.

The CS for Education professor George Magoha was in Kisumu today and warned parents in Nyanza region who he said were planning to buy KCSE examinations. He also warned that KCSE candidates who will be involved in cheating will not get their results.

Education PS Belio Kipsang was in Mombasa and said all KCSE candidates will have an opportunity to move to the next level.

‘’We have adequate training colleges and universities. We have adequate space to take care of them. ‘’ Kipsang said.

He also expressed his confidence to students saying that they will perfom without pressure from teachers and parents.

‘’Let’s give them an opportunity to do their best. Let’s not put them under pressure to give what they cannot.’’ He added.
