Sharing is Caring

Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Kipchumba Sudi presented himself to the police at Langas Police Station on Sunday morning.

Sudi arrived at the Langas station before 8 am.

“As a law abiding citizen I have presented myself at Langas Police Station early this morning even before the officers arrive. It was unnecessary to be treated with a lot of drama by sending contingent of police officers to my home. I was away the time police arrived at my place. Thank you all for standing with me,” he posted on his Facebook page.

He was accompanied by Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, MPs Didmus Barasa(Kimilili), Caleb Kositany(Soy), Cornelius Serem (Aldai) and lawyer Gladys Shollei, who is also the Women Representative of Uasin Gishu County.

Police had on Friday tried to arrest Sudi, who is a close friend of deputy president William Samoei Ruto.

The police wanted to arrest Sudi over alleged hate speech remarks.

A group of angry youth barricaded the roads to prevent the officers from accessing Sudi’s home.
