New Tottenham Hotspurs manager Jose Mourinho has won his first game in charge of Tottenham Hotspurs.

A lively and reinvigorated Spurs team won their first away game in 307 days in the English Premier League, beating West Ham 3-2 at the London Stadium to hand the Portuguese tactician his first win at the club.

Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min opened the scoring in the 36th minute before Lucas Moura doubled the lead for Tottenham in the 43rd minute. Harry Kane added the third goal for Spurs four minutes into the second half. Michail Antonio scored the first goal for the hosts in the 73rd minute before Angelo Ogbonna adding the 2nd in the stoppage time.

Spurs dominated the match with an average ball possession of 58% compared to West Ham’s 42. Spurs also had 12 shots compared to West Ham’s 6. Spurs managed 8 shots on target compared to West Ham’s 5.

Over 59,000 fans attended the match.                                                                

Referee Michael Oliver yellow carded 5 players namely; Issa Diop, Ryan Fredricks, Ben Davies, Robert Snodgrass and Harry Kane.

The Result moves Tottenham Hotspurs from 14th to 6th position in the English Premier League table.West Ham United sit at 16th position with 13 points.

Among the players to badly lose form in the latter period of Pochettinho’s era were Dele Alli, but he shone in a confident performance and regularly exploited space in the final third. The midfielder has lost his England place but could find his way back into Euro 2020 contention if he continues to impress.
