JACINDA ARDERN, THE NEW PRIME MINISTER OF NEW ZEALAND
Jacinda Ardern is the new Prime Minster of New Zealand. She is a populist who has blast at capitalism.
Jacinda was declared the winner just 26 days after the votes were cast. She received the support of New Zealand’s kingmaker: Winston Peters.
“For too many New Zealanders capitalism has not been their friend but their foe,” Watson Peters.
The new Prime Minister of New Zealand is 37 years old and now is the third female prime minister.
The kingmaker further accused capitalism for benefiting the rich political elite while the general population becomes poorer.
Jacinda Ardern is a populist considering that she draws huge crowds wherever she goes around the country. This is what the New Zealanders have named “Jacindamania.”
Based on her popularity she has been compared to rock star politicians such as Barack Obama of the United States.
The Labor Party in Zealand has promised to make university education free, wipe out child poverty and reduce immigration by up to 30,000.
