Harambee Stars are set to play a friendly match today against Uganda Cranes at the Moi Sports Center Kasarani as from 4PM.

Both teams will be using the match as a preparation for the 2021 qualifiers of the African Cup of Nations in November.

“This friendly match is crucial in our preparation for the upcoming 2021 Afcon Qualifiers against Egypt and Togo in November. We have 14 players in camp at the moment. More players will be joining us in the course of the week,” said Harambee Stars Coach Francis Kimanzi after Monday’s training session.

Kenya are placed in group G alongside Egypt, Togo and Comoros. Uganda are in Group B and will be up against Burkina Faso, Malawi and South Sudan/ Seychelles.

Harambee Stars will be without Captain Victor Wanyama who has been ruled out due to injury.  Johana Omollo, Ismael Gonzalez and Joseph Okumu will also not play in the friendly due to various reasons.

The today’s match will be Francis Kimanzi’s first match in charge after replacing former Head Coach Sebastian Migne.
