Sharing is Caring

Harambee stars captain Victor Wanyama has threatened to take legal action against a socialite and a vlogger for defaming him.

The Montreal Impact midfielder issued a statement after socialite Shakilla claimed in a video that she had relations with him.

Shakilla, who claims she is 19 years, boldly said that Wanyama paid her KSh 700,000.

The video was published by vlogger Xtian Dela (Arthur Mandela) on social media.

However, Wanyama says the claims are a total fabrication and are aimed to scandalize his reputation.

“I wish to distance myself completely from the contents of this defamatory video. The allegations made therein are a total fabrication and a figment of the maker’s imagination at best,” a statement reads.

“I have worked long and hard to build my character and standing in the society. Such malicious, scandalizing and false assertions about my name and character are unacceptable to me.”

The former Tottenham star Wanyama says he has instructed his legal team to pursue legal remedies.

“I’m prepared to go to great lengths to protect my good name and character, consequently and with the blessing of my management team, I have instructed my legal team to pursue all legal remedies available to me and to which I have the unreserved right to seek,” the statement added.
